Yes, if your event:
Involves art, music, performance, or culture in any form
Is rooted in community — bringing people together rather than keeping people out
Champions local artists, makers, and small businesses
Celebrates, platforms, or creates space for queer people, BIPOC artists, and anyone whose work has been dismissed, suppressed, or told it's too much
Cody Hays (a doctoral researcher whose work focuses on queer media, platform governance, and algorithmic power) created this event in Phoenix and then wanted to take it on the road, kicking things off in Nashville—which is where I come in.
I curated a panel of queer artists with firsthand experience of Instagram censorship, each bringing a different background and perspective to the conversation. I sourced Drkmttr Collective as the venue: a DIY community space that is so aligned with the spirit of the event, I knew immediately that's where we needed to be. I managed all logistics and communication with panelists and vendors, coordinating equipment and setup, booking an aligned photographer, and ordering custom Sensitive Content cookies because snacks and the little details matter. 😉
On the promotional side, I created social media graphics, coordinated collaborative posts that got shared widely, and set up an Eventbrite for RSVP tracking.

"From organizing to venue and talent sourcing to full event marketing, she handled it all with zero edits needed from me."
"Partnering with Kelsey took the stress out of planning an out-of-state community event celebrating queer and trans art."I’ve been event planning for over a decade, and I can verify that Kelsey knows her shit. From organizing to venue and talent sourcing to full event marketing, she handled it all with zero edits needed from me (which is saying something because I ALWAYS have edits). All while being in community and showing up as a human being first. She brings genuine care to everything she touches, and having her own the logistics meant I could show up, facilitate, and actually build community with attendees."

This is my passion project where I help creative folx reconnect with their inner child. So far it's been hosted on a retreat space I found on 135 acres of sacred land outside of Nashville, intentionally aligned with the seasons and curated to create room for uninhibited creative expression.
For each of these multi-day retreats, I coordinated everything from the venue and the menu to the facilitators and the art supplies. I hired a private chef, a sound healer, and a forest bathing guide, while also collecting every attendee's dietary needs, sensory sensitivities, health conditions, and personal preferences ahead of time. Because my top priority is making sure everyone walks in already knowing they're going to be taken care of. Learn more about The Daydream Dimension here.

"Kelsey created a space where you can totally be yourself with no pressure,
you can escape the world for a few days, and take back with you rituals, mindset shifts, and a renewed sense of hope and self."
- Kimmy, retreat attendee
"It was a very accepting atmosphere."
"I often have a fear of not fitting in with new crowds of people in new settings, but I ended up feeling so supported and seen by everyone there."
- Amy, retreat attendee
To be transparent, this service offering is new-ish. I'm building this out intentionally rather than rushing to package it up before I'm ready. I don't have set pricing or formal packages yet. What I do have is a clear sense of what I'm good at, a track record of pulling it off, and a genuine love for this work. If you have something in mind, reach out and tell me about it. We'll figure out what makes sense from there.
